Marlen Mynzhassar

Hi, I'm a Senior Technical Program Manager @ Amazon with 10+ yrs in Software Engineering. I’ve built products, deprecated old century systems, launched my startup, and led complex migrations - all while having fun and working with small/large teams, living across 4 countries. Now, diving deep into AI. Fortunate to have learned how to build without it, but bullish and excited on leveraging it to build faster/better now.

Experience

2022 - Current:

Amazon Dublin. I started as a Program Manager in 2022, transitioned to a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in 2023, and advanced to Senior TPM in 2025. I’ve enjoyed every step of the journey and deeply appreciate Amazon’s culture of high standards, bold vision, and the exceptional professionals I have the privilege to work.

Previously (2011 - 2022):

At DXC Technology, I led AI/ML initiatives in the autonomous vehicle domain, delivering optimized LiDAR signal processing and computer vision solutions for a major South Korean automotive client. Prior to that, I managed a $3M logistics optimization program at Chevron that generated $2M in annual savings, while coordinating delivery across globally distributed engineering teams. Earlier in my career at KPMG, I drove IT consulting and digital architecture design, implemented blockchain-based procurement systems, and led regulatory technology (RegTech) projects for 5+ financial institutions. I also co-founded a startup in Sweden that applied AI to automate candidate screening. I began my career as a Java backend engineer, developing digital services for a national E-government portal, and later built e-learning platforms for universities, as well as banking solutions for national and commercial banks.

I’m also particularly proud of developing a donation website with an integrated payment system for the Heart Center Foundation (hcf.kz) in Kazakhstan, which raised 114,649,300 KZT (~$300K USD) by May 2020.

Education

2010 - 2011. University of York, UK

Master of Science (MSc) in Computing

2005 - 2009. Eurasian National University, KZ

A few professional certifications I’ve earned along the way:

All verified certificates are available on Credly.

Programming

A few systems I built as part of my volunteer work are still running today:

  • register.kazcts.kz - medical database for cardiac surgery tracking. Built with PHP (Yii2), MySQL, and Power BI. Comprehensive patient data management and analytics
  • hcf.kz - non-profit fundraising website for heart surgery funding.
